About:
Sumayyah joined the Trigatti Lab as a direct entry Ph.D. candidate. She previously studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Waterloo.
Outside of the lab, Sumayyah enjoys many hobbies, including travelling, reading, and cooking.
Research Focus:
Sumayyah’s project focuses on the inflammatory aspects of atherosclerosis, specifically pertaining to the role of interleukin receptor alpha (IL-15Ra) in atherosclerotic development.
