About:

Sam joined the Trigatti Lab in 2017 as a Ph.D. candidate. He completed his Bachelor of Medical Sciences Honours Specialization degree in 2014 and his Master of Physiology and Pharmacology degree in 2016 at Western University. 

Outside of research, Sam is an avid sports fan, and he enjoys both watching and playing sports. He also likes to hang out with friends and work out. As well, Sam is an adventurous traveller and loves exploring places with amazing scenery and nature. 

Research Focus:

Sam is examining the effects of older age on the development of coronary artery atherosclerosis and myocardial infarction in atherogenic mice. He is also investigating the effects of platelet knockout and inhibition on coronary artery atherothrombosis and myocardial infarction in atherogenic mice.
